A house with a long memory and a warm front door
Hotel Luzern Engel is a charming three-star establishment with a rich
history dating back more than 350 years.
Behind its lovingly preserved seventeenth-century façade, guests are welcomed into newly
renovated rooms designed with attention to detail. Every corner reflects a harmony
between tradition and contemporary style: warm materials, tasteful décor, and a
welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel also features a restaurant, a cosy bar, and a spacious banquet hall for
private and special events. It is a place where history and hospitality meet, creating a
unique and memorable experience for every guest.
Fresh local cuisine and friendly service, in a room where brick, timber and
white linen do the decorating.
The restaurant seats 70 guests indoors and 50 outside. The bar, with 80 seats of its own,
opens directly onto the banquet hall, which is why an evening here so easily becomes a
celebration. For larger tables we prepare custom menus or buffets.
Hitzkirch sits in the Seetal valley, between Lake Baldegg and Lake Hallwil.
The Baldeggersee is only a few minutes away, perfect for walks and swimming, while the Hallwilersee, some seven kilometres on, offers scenic trails and boat tours. Right beside
the hotel stands the Church of St. Pankratius, first founded around 1084.
The house has 18 rooms in total: 4 single rooms, 12 double rooms and 2 triple rooms, with space for around 38 to 42 guests.

The banquet hall holds up to 130 guests and connects directly to the bar, so a celebration and the evening that follows it can happen in one place.
Hitzkirch lies 20 kilometres north of Lucerne and is easily reached by car or by train on the Seetalbahn line.
